Salary: £130–£220 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a versatile teacher looking for the opportunity to make an impact across different classrooms and subjects?
GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic General Supply Teacher to work with schools in Wakefield (WF1). This role provides the opportunity to step into different classroom environments, deliver engaging lessons and support pupils' progress while responding to the needs of each school.
Your responsibilities as a General Supply Teacher:
- Deliver well-structured lessons in line with the school's expectations and provided plans.
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit different classes and learning needs.
- Establish positive relationships and maintain a productive classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour effectively and promote high expectations.
- Assess and respond to pupils' understanding during lessons.
- Maintain continuity of learning during staff absence.
- Liaise with school staff and provide relevant feedback following lessons.
Requirements for the General Supply Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role.
- Previous teaching experience as a General Supply Teacher or a similar role is expected.
- Ability to teach effectively across different classroom environments.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexible, reliable and adaptable approach.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
