Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping children build confidence and make progress in their learning? A welcoming primary school in Sheffield is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its team.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils across their daily learning. You will provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, help children stay engaged with activities and assist with classroom routines.
You may support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, adapting your approach to suit their age and individual needs. Your contribution will help children access learning, develop their independence and make steady progress throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

Support pupils with their learning through one-to-one and small-group activities.

Work closely with the class teacher to deliver effective classroom support.

Assist with lessons, activities and classroom routines across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.

Provide additional support to pupils who may require extra help with their learning or behaviour.

Prepare and organise classroom resources where required.

Observe pupil progress and share relevant feedback with teaching staff.
Requirements:

A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.

Previous experience working in a primary school is desirable.

Good knowledge of supporting children across different stages of primary education.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine commitment to helping children learn and develop.
To work with GSL Education as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary), you should:

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
