Job Title: Admin

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you organised, reliable and confident working in a busy school environment? A welcoming school in Sheffield is looking for a capable Admin professional to join their team and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

About the Role:

As an Admin professional, you will provide essential administrative support across the school, helping staff, students and visitors with a range of day-to-day tasks. You may be responsible for maintaining accurate records, handling correspondence, managing enquiries and supporting the smooth running of the school office.

This is a varied role where your organisation, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will make a real difference to the wider school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the school.

  • Manage emails, telephone enquiries and correspondence appropriately.

  • Maintain accurate student and school records.

  • Assist with filing, data entry and document preparation.

  • Welcome visitors and provide a professional first point of contact.

  • Support staff with routine administrative tasks and school processes.

  • Handle information sensitively and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience is desirable.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Confident using standard office software and administrative systems.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.

  • A professional, approachable and reliable manner.

To work with GSL Education as an Admin professional, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.

  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.

We also offer, via our partner, access to accredited Education-relevant CPD courses.

In addition to that, GSL Education are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants (Ts &Cs apply).
