Salary: £95–£115 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are currently looking for a caring Nursery Practitioner to work with a nursery setting in Hartlepool. This is an opportunity to support children's learning and development through play, daily routines and positive interactions.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Support children with play-based learning activities.
  • Encourage communication, social skills and independence.
  • Help children participate in age-appropriate activities.
  • Build positive relationships with children and support their individual needs.
  • Assist with daily routines and transitions.
  • Observe children's development and share relevant information with staff.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment.

Requirements for the Nursery Practitioner role:

  • Previous experience working with children in an Early Years or childcare setting is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) would be beneficial.
  • Experience as a Nursery Practitioner or similar role is desirable.
  • Patient, caring and attentive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an Early Years team.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
