Are you a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent and effective support to students in the classroom?
GSL Education Newcastle Branch are currently seeking a committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) to work with a school in Hartlepool. This is an opportunity to work alongside teachers and provide students with the support they need to engage with lessons and develop their confidence and independence.
As a L3 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students during lessons and classroom activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance where required.
- Help students follow instructions and complete learning tasks.
- Assist teachers with classroom resources and activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and independent learning.
- Monitor student engagement and communicate relevant observations.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- A relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience supporting children or young people as a Level 3 TA is desirable.
- Experience working in education, childcare or a similar setting would be beneficial.
- Patient, reliable and organised approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to support students with varied learning needs.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
