Salary: £95–£115 per day (depending on experience)

Do you hold a Level 3 qualification and have the skills to provide effective classroom support to students?
GSL Education Newcastle Branch are currently seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) to work with a school in Middlesbrough. This is an opportunity to support teachers and students with classroom learning, helping students access activities, develop confidence and make progress.
Responsibilities of a Level 3 TA:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students.
- Assist teachers with classroom tasks and learning activities.
- Help students understand instructions and complete their work.
- Support student' confidence, independence and engagement.
- Encourage positive behaviour and effective classroom routines.
- Prepare and organise learning resources where required.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff.
Requirements for the role:
- A relevant L3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience supporting children or young people as a Level 3 TA is desirable.
- Experience in education, childcare or a similar setting would be beneficial.
- A patient, calm and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
