Job Title: Early Years Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking creative and nurturing Early Years Teacher (YET) to join welcoming schools in Sheffield. We welcome educators who understand how young children develop and can combine purposeful play with structured teaching to build strong foundations for future learning.
The Early Years Teacher provides engaging learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development during their formative years.
Early Years Teacher Responsibilities:
- Design stimulating learning experiences around the principles of the EYFS
- Introduce early literacy, numeracy, communication, and language through engaging activities
- Incorporate purposeful play and exploration into everyday teaching
- Observe children’s development and use assessment to identify appropriate next steps
- Adapt activities according to individual abilities and developmental stages
- Establish a welcoming classroom that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive relationships
Early Years Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or a recognised equivalent qualification
- Detailed understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Experience teaching or supporting children within an Early Years setting
- Ability to combine structured learning with purposeful play
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and effective assessment practices
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
