Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are working with welcoming schools throughout Doncaster to find enthusiastic and capable Key Stage 2 Teacher. We are interested in educators who can make the curriculum engaging, encourage pupils to think for themselves, and provide the right balance of challenge and support across Years 3 to 6.

The KS2 Teacher delivers a broad primary curriculum while helping pupils deepen their subject knowledge, develop effective learning habits, and build the academic and personal skills required for secondary education.

Key Stage 2 Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Create purposeful lessons covering core and foundation areas of the KS2 curriculum
  • Strengthen pupils’ literacy, numeracy, reasoning, and wider subject knowledge
  • Differentiate learning to provide appropriate challenge for varying abilities
  • Assess attainment and use outcomes to shape subsequent teaching
  • Cultivate independence, curiosity, and responsible learning habits
  • Coordinate with teaching assistants and colleagues to address individual pupil needs

Key Stage 2 Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
  • Previous experience teaching pupils across Years 3 to 6 in a school or similar setting
  • Capability to plan inclusive and appropriately challenging learning experiences
  • Effective assessment, communication, and classroom leadership skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
