Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Durham
Pay Rate: £95 - £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term
Are you ready to use your Level 3 training to provide effective classroom support and help pupils become more confident and independent learners?
GSL Education Newcastle Branch are working with amazing schools throughout Durham to find skilled and dependable Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA). We are interested in practitioners who can take an active role in learning, work collaboratively with teaching staff, and provide focused support to pupils across different abilities and needs.
As a L3 TA, you are going to support the delivery of learning activities while working with individuals and groups to strengthen understanding, participation, and academic progress.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted activities with individuals and small groups under teacher guidance
- Reinforce lesson content by explaining tasks and concepts in accessible ways
- Prepare learning materials and organise resources for classroom activities
- Monitor pupils’ engagement and contribute observations towards progress reviews
- Encourage independent learning, positive behaviour, and active participation
- Collaborate with teachers and support colleagues to meet individual learning needs
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or another relevant Level 3 education qualification
- Practical experience supporting children or young people within an educational setting
- Knowledge of classroom practices and approaches to supporting different learning needs
- Confidence leading activities with individuals and small groups
- Effective communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
