Job Title: PE Teacher

Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £200 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you a qualified PE Teacher looking for an opportunity to help students develop their skills, fitness and confidence?

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to work with a school in Barnsley. This opportunity would suit a qualified teacher who can deliver engaging Physical Education lessons, maintain positive classroom relationships, and encourage students to participate confidently in practical activities.

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • · Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons.
  • · Teach a range of physical activities suited to students' abilities.
  • · Adapt activities to support different levels of ability and confidence.
  • · Maintain a positive and well-managed learning environment.
  • · Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • · Encourage teamwork, participation, and positive attitudes towards fitness.
  • · Follow school policies relating to safeguarding, behavior and health and safety.

Requirements for the role:

  • · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • · Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • · Previous teaching experience within a school setting.
  • · Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective lessons.
  • · Confident classroom and behavior management skills.
  • · Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • · Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • · A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
