Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are supporting inclusive schools across Sheffield in their search for knowledgeable and engaging Computer Studies (CS) Teacher. We are looking for educators who can combine theoretical understanding with practical computing activities and inspire learners to become confident users and creators of technology.
The Computer Studies Teacher introduces students to key areas of computing and digital technology, developing their understanding of programming, computer systems, data, and computational thinking.
Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in Computer Studies, Computing, and related topics
- Introduce programming concepts through coding exercises and practical projects
- Explore computer systems, networks, data, software, and digital technologies with learners
- Develop students’ computational thinking and independent problem-solving abilities
- Evaluate progress using coursework, projects, tests, and classroom activities
- Prepare learners for relevant assessments and examinations
Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Sound understanding of the secondary Computing or Computer Studies curriculum
- Experience teaching programming, computing, or ICT to young people in a school or similar setting
- Confidence explaining technical concepts to learners with different ability levels
- Strong organisation, communication, and classroom management abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
