Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are supporting schools throughout Sheffield in finding enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant (TA). We would like to hear from the persons who can work effectively alongside teachers, respond to different learning needs, and provide the extra guidance students need to participate fully in classroom activities.
As a Teaching Assistant, you can contribute to a positive learning environment by assisting individuals and groups, reinforcing lesson content, and helping students develop greater confidence and independence.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist learners who need additional guidance with classroom tasks
- Reinforce key concepts through individual and small-group activities
- Prepare resources and materials for lessons when required
- Encourage students to participate actively and work independently
- Observe learners’ progress and communicate relevant information to teachers
- Promote positive behaviour and respectful interactions in the classroom
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Understanding of how to respond to different learning abilities and needs
- Confidence working independently as well as alongside teaching staff
- A patient, adaptable, and responsible approach to classroom support
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
