Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are working with reputed schools throughout Sheffield to find confident and supportive Behaviour Support. We are interested in individuals who can develop positive relationships with students, respond constructively to difficult situations, and provide clear guidance that encourages better choices and greater engagement with learning.
The Behaviour Support will have the opportunity to focus on helping young people understand their behaviour, develop appropriate coping strategies, and overcome barriers that may affect their participation in education.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support to students
- Help learners identify triggers and develop strategies for managing their behaviour
- Encourage positive choices and reinforce appropriate classroom conduct
- Support students in remaining focused and returning to learning after difficulties
- Maintain clear and consistent boundaries in line with school expectations
- Work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to implement agreed behaviour strategies
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people
- Understanding of positive behaviour management techniques
- Confidence handling challenging situations calmly and appropriately
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, resilient, and consistent approach to supporting students
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
