About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other school staff to support pupils with their learning and development. You may work with students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or provide general classroom support.
Your role will be essential in helping pupils build confidence, develop independence, and remain engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils where required
- Work with small groups to support learning and development
- Encourage pupil participation and engagement
- Support pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs
- Help promote positive behaviour and a respectful learning environment
- Build positive and professional relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A caring, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
- Confidence working as part of a team
- Passion for supporting children's learning and development
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
