GSL Education are looking for enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants, Nursery Practitioners and Early Years Practitioners to join our supply team, supporting a range of welcoming nurseries and Early Years settings across Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

Whether you're looking for one or two days a week, regular supply work, additional hours around your existing commitments or the opportunity to gain more Early Years experience, we'd love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

As a Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioner, you could be supporting children across Baby, Toddler and Pre-School rooms, helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting children's learning, development and play
  • Helping deliver fun and engaging activities
  • Supporting children with their daily routines
  • Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
  • Supporting indoor and outdoor learning and play
  • Helping with snack and mealtimes
  • Building positive and nurturing relationships with children
  • Supporting children with additional needs where required
  • Working alongside experienced nursery teams
  • Following nursery policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Helping to create a happy, safe and inclusive environment

Who are we looking for?

  • Nursery Assistants
  • Nursery Practitioners
  • Early Years Practitioners
  • Early Years Assistants
  • Nursery Nurses
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualified childcare practitioners
  • Experienced unqualified childcare workers
  • Candidates with experience in nursery, preschool, childcare or Early Years settings
  • People with transferable experience working with children
