GSL Education Hull branch are currently hiring a proactive and efficient School Office Administrator to join a supportive educational setting in Scarborough. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage a range of office duties, communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and visitors, and help ensure the school office operates smoothly and efficiently.

As a School Office Administrator, you will be an important part of the school's day-to-day administration. You will use Arbor to maintain accurate pupil records and support key administrative processes, while providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for the wider school community.

Main Responsibilities as a School Office Administrator:

  • Manage general school office duties, including correspondence, filing, record keeping, photocopying, and administrative documentation.
  • Use Arbor confidently to update and maintain pupil records, attendance information, communications, and other school data.
  • Act as a professional first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff, and visitors, handling enquiries appropriately.
  • Support attendance monitoring, pupil information management, admissions, and other administrative procedures as required.
  • Provide effective administrative support to teaching staff, senior leaders, and other members of the school team.
  • Handle sensitive information responsibly while following safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection procedures.

School Office Administrator Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school office or educational administration setting is essential.
  • Proven experience using Arbor is essential, with the ability to navigate the system and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and remain calm in a busy school office environment.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
