Job Title: Early Years Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking creative and nurturing Early Years Teacher (EYT) to join primary and Early Years schools in Sheffield. We are keen to hear from teachers who understand how young children learn and can combine purposeful play with structured teaching to support their academic, social, and emotional development.

The Early Years Teacher creates engaging learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping children develop early literacy, numeracy, communication, independence, and social skills.

Early Years Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and play-based learning activities
  • Support early literacy, numeracy, language, and communication development
  • Create opportunities for exploration, creativity, and independent learning
  • Observe and assess children’s development against EYFS expectations
  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning and developmental needs
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Early Years Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or equivalent is essential
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Ability to deliver purposeful and engaging play-based learning
  • Good knowledge of early childhood development
  • Effective classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
