Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are supporting schools across Doncaster in their search for knowledgeable and engaging Computer Studies (CS) Teacher. We welcome qualified educators who can make technical topics easier to understand, combine theory with practical activities, and encourage students to explore computing with confidence.

The Computer Studies Teacher position will give you the opportunityto help learners build their knowledge of programming, computer systems, and digital technology while developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Computer Studies lessons across relevant year groups
  • Teach programming and coding through practical activities and projects
  • Explain computer systems, networks, software, and digital technologies
  • Encourage learners to use logical thinking to solve technical problems
  • Monitor progress through classwork, projects, tests, and assessments
  • Prepare students for examinations and provide revision support

Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Previous experience teaching Computer Studies, Computing, or ICT within an educational institute
  • Good knowledge of programming, computer systems, and digital technology
  • Ability to explain technical topics clearly to different ability levels
  • Strong planning, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
