Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to work with amazing schools in Sheffield. We are keen to hear from qualified educators who can make computing topics clear and engaging, encourage practical learning, and help young people develop confidence in using and understanding technology.

The Computer Studies Teacher will have the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons in computing and digital technology, helping learners develop programming knowledge, logical thinking, and practical problem-solving skills.

Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Computer Studies lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Teach programming and coding through practical activities and projects
  • Introduce students to computer systems, software, networks, and digital technologies
  • Encourage learners to develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Assess progress through classwork, projects, tests, and other activities
  • Support students with revision and preparation for assessments and examinations

Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Previous experience teaching Computer Studies, Computing, or ICT within an educational setting
  • Good knowledge of programming, computer systems, and digital technology
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different ability levels
  • Strong planning, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
