Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to recruit knowledgeable and motivated Mathematics Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield. We are interested in qualified educators who can explain mathematical concepts clearly, adapt their teaching to different ability levels, and encourage learners to develop strong numerical and problem-solving skills.

As a Math Teacher, you will deliver clear and structured lessons that help students understand key mathematical concepts, improve their reasoning, and prepare effectively for assessments and examinations.

Maths Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Teach key topics including number, algebra, geometry, and statistics
  • Adapt activities to support students with different levels of ability
  • Encourage learners to develop independent reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Monitor progress through classwork, homework, tests, and assessments
  • Provide revision support and prepare students for examinations

Math Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Previous experience teaching Mathematics within a school
  • Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum
  • Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively
  • Good planning, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
