Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking committed and approachable Behaviour Support to work with fabulous schools in Sheffield. This opportunity would suit individuals who can connect with young people, provide clear and consistent guidance, and encourage students to make positive choices while staying involved in their learning.
The Behaviour Support role focuses on helping learners understand and manage their behaviour, develop stronger social skills, and become more confident within the school environment.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group support to students with behavioural needs
- Encourage learners to recognise and make positive choices
- Help young people manage frustration and challenging situations appropriately
- Support students with staying focused and participating during lessons
- Maintain clear expectations and boundaries in line with school policies
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to provide consistent support
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school setting or similar
- Understanding of positive behaviour management approaches
- Confidence responding to challenging behaviour calmly and professionally
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, consistent, and reliable approach to supporting learners
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
