Job Title: Early Years Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking creative and caring Early Years Teacher (EYT) to work with schools and Early Years settings in Sheffield. We welcome qualified educators who can combine purposeful play with structured learning, respond to individual needs, and help children develop the skills and confidence needed for their next stage of education.
The Early Years Teacher creates engaging learning experiences that support children’s communication, early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and overall development.
Early Years Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Use stories, games, creative tasks, and purposeful play to support learning
- Help children develop early reading, writing, communication, and number skills
- Observe and assess individual development to identify areas requiring support
- Encourage curiosity, independence, positive behaviour, and social interaction
- Work closely with support staff and families to promote children’s progress
Early Years Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or equivalent
- Previous experience teaching children within an Early Years setting
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Ability to plan engaging activities for different learning and development needs
- Caring, organised, and confident approach to working with young children
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
