Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking calm and dependable Behaviour Support to work in fabulous schools across Sheffield. We welcome individuals who can understand the reasons behind challenging behaviour, provide clear guidance, and help students develop more positive ways to manage difficulties throughout the school day.
The Behaviour Support role provides targeted assistance to learners who need extra help with behaviour, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Build positive and respectful relationships with students
- Provide individual support when behavioural difficulties arise
- Help young people recognise triggers and develop suitable coping strategies
- Encourage learners to follow classroom expectations and make positive choices
- Support students with returning to learning after challenging situations
- Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to maintain consistent support
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Understanding of positive behaviour management approaches
- Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult situations
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, consistent, and confident when maintaining boundaries
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
