Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are welcoming applications from enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to work in welcoming schools across Sheffield. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and can support their development through creative activities, purposeful play, and positive daily routines.
The Early Years Practitioner is going to play an important role in supporting children’s early development, helping them strengthen communication, social, physical, and learning skills in a safe environment.
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Support children through play-based learning and structured activities
- Encourage speaking, listening, sharing, and positive interaction with others
- Organise creative activities suitable for different stages of development
- Help young learners become more confident with everyday routines
- Observe children’s development and communicate progress with relevant staff
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organised learning space
Early Years Practitioner Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young children is desirable
- Relevant Early Years or childcare qualification is advantageous
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Caring, patient, and attentive approach to children’s individual needs
- Good communication and ability to work effectively within a team
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
