Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint confident and supportive Behaviour Support to work with schools in Doncaster. We are interested in individuals who can build positive relationships with young people, understand different behavioural needs, and provide consistent guidance to help students stay focused and involved in learning.

The Behaviour Support role focuses on helping learners understand their behaviour, develop better ways to respond to difficult situations, and participate positively in school life.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students with behavioural needs
  • Help young people recognise triggers and manage difficult situations calmly
  • Encourage positive choices and reinforce appropriate behaviour
  • Support learners with staying focused and participating in classroom activities
  • Maintain clear and consistent boundaries in line with school policies
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to follow agreed support strategies

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Understanding of positive behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Patient, reliable, and consistent approach to supporting students
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
