School Cleaner – Enfield

Location: Enfield
Pay: £15–£16 per hour

GSL Education are looking for reliable and hardworking School Cleaners to support schools across Enfield. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for flexible work, regular hours, or longer-term assignments within a school environment.

The Role

• Short-notice and single-day cover may be required, sometimes on the same day or with just a few days' notice.

• Short shifts: 11:30am–1:30pm and/or 3:00pm–6:00pm.

• Longer-term opportunities ranging from a few days to several weeks or months, depending on school requirements.

• Covering for permanent cleaners who are unexpectedly unavailable or absent.

• Cleaning classrooms, communal areas, toilets and other school facilities to a high standard.

• Ensuring the school environment is clean, safe and welcoming for students and staff.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable.

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexible and available to provide short-notice cover when required.

• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness.

• Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Compliance Requirements

Successful candidates will be required to provide:

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• 2–3 professional references covering a minimum of 2–3 years of employment history.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Proof of National Insurance.
• Proof of address dated within the last three months.
