Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident working with children and able to lead a classroom with a calm, positive approach? A welcoming primary school in Doncaster is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to support pupils and maintain continuity of learning from September.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes when the usual teacher is unavailable, ensuring pupils remain engaged with the work provided. You will follow lesson plans, manage behaviour and provide support where appropriate, helping to maintain a focused and well-organised classroom throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

Supervise classes and ensure pupils complete the work set by teaching staff.

Follow lesson plans and provide appropriate support during learning activities.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Maintain a calm, safe and focused learning environment.

Support pupils with their work and encourage positive participation.

Monitor pupil engagement and provide relevant feedback to teaching staff.

Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting is desirable.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

A calm, patient and confident approach.

Ability to build positive relationships with primary-aged pupils.

Good organisational skills and the ability to follow lesson plans effectively.

A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
