Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint creative and knowledgeable Design and Technology Teacher to work in advanced schools across Doncaster. We would like to hear from qualified educators who can make practical lessons engaging, introduce students to a range of materials and techniques, and encourage them to solve problems through design.
The D&T Teacher is going to help learners understand the design process while developing their creativity, technical knowledge, and practical abilities.
Design and Technology Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver Design and Technology lessons across relevant year groups
- Guide students through planning, designing, making, and evaluating products
- Introduce learners to different materials, tools, and practical techniques
- Demonstrate the safe and correct use of workshop equipment
- Encourage young people to test ideas and improve their finished work
- Assess practical and written tasks and provide clear feedback
DT Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school
- Good knowledge of D&T materials, tools, and production methods
- Understanding of health and safety procedures in practical environments
- Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
