Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking reliable and encouraging Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in welcoming schools across Doncaster. This opportunity would suit individuals who enjoy working with young people, can support different learning abilities, and are comfortable working closely with teachers to create a positive classroom experience.

The Teaching Assistant helps learners understand classroom activities, complete their work, and develop the confidence and independence needed to progress.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist teaching staff with lessons and everyday classroom activities
  • Provide individual support to students who require extra guidance
  • Work with small groups to practise skills and reinforce lesson content
  • Help learners understand instructions and complete assigned tasks
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons
  • Prepare resources and help maintain an organised learning environment

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational institute or similar setting
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to support different learning needs and levels of ability
  • Patient, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
