Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £200 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate PE Teacher who enjoys helping young people develop their confidence, skills and enthusiasm for physical activity? A welcoming secondary school in Doncaster is seeking a committed PE Teacher to join their team from September.

About the Role:

As a PE Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students to develop their physical skills, teamwork and understanding of health and fitness. You will play an important role in maintaining high standards of teaching, encouraging positive participation and helping pupils make strong progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Assess, monitor and record student progress.

  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs and abilities of individual students.

  • Teach a range of practical and theoretical aspects of physical education.

  • Promote positive participation, teamwork and good sporting conduct.

  • Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.

  • The ability to motivate and engage students of different abilities.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A commitment to delivering high-quality PE lessons.

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
