Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are welcoming applications from dedicated Mathematics Teacher to work with reputed schools in Barnsley. We are interested in qualified educators who can make Mathematics accessible, support learners at different ability levels, and encourage young people to develop strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
The Maths Teacher will deliver structured lessons that help students strengthen their understanding of key mathematical concepts and apply their knowledge with greater confidence.
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach Mathematics lessons in line with curriculum requirements
- Explain key topics using clear examples and suitable learning activities
- Help learners develop numerical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Provide extra guidance to students who need additional support
- Track progress through classwork, homework, and regular assessments
- Prepare young people for examinations and support them with revision
Math Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics within a school or similar settings
- Strong understanding of the Mathematics curriculum
- Ability to adapt lessons for different levels of ability
- Effective communication, planning, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
