Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to recruit enthusiastic Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to work with tech savvy schools in Sheffield. We welcome applications from qualified educators who can explain computing topics in simple terms, make lessons practical and engaging, and help students become confident users of technology.
The Computer Studies Teacher supports learners in developing knowledge of computing, coding, and digital systems while strengthening their logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach Computer Studies lessons in line with the curriculum
- Introduce coding and programming through practical classroom activities
- Explain computer systems, software, networks, and digital technology
- Help students develop logical thinking and solve computing problems
- Assess learners through classwork, projects, and regular tests
- Prepare young people for examinations and further study in computing
Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Experience teaching Computer Studies, Computing, or ICT in a school
- Good knowledge of programming and digital technologies
- Ability to make technical subjects clear and easy to understand
- Strong planning, communication, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
