Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking knowledgeable and committed Mathematics Teacher to work in amazing schools across Sheffield. This opportunity is suited to qualified educators who can make mathematical topics clear and engaging, support different ability levels, and encourage students to develop strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.
The Maths Teacher helps learners build a secure understanding of Mathematics through structured lessons, regular practice, and clear guidance.
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver Mathematics lessons across relevant year groups and ability levels
- Use clear examples to explain numbers, algebra, geometry, and other key topics
- Encourage students to practise independent thinking and problem-solving
- Provide additional help to learners who find certain topics difficult
- Monitor progress through classwork, homework, tests, and assessments
- Support young people with revision and preparation for examinations
Math Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics within a school
- Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum
- Ability to adapt lessons for different learning levels
- Good communication, planning, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
