Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you confident leading a classroom and keen to support pupils in their learning? A welcoming secondary school in Worksop is looking for a reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team from September.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared work in the absence of teaching staff. You will maintain a calm and focused classroom, support pupils with their work and ensure lessons run smoothly throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure pupils remain engaged with their work.

Maintain a calm, safe and orderly classroom environment.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Support pupils with their learning where appropriate.

Record and communicate relevant information about lessons to teaching staff.

Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

A confident and professional approach when working with pupils.

Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively.

Good organisational skills and reliability.

A genuine interest in supporting pupils within a secondary school environment.

Experience in an education setting is advantageous.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
