Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you an enthusiastic PE Teacher who enjoys helping young people develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity? A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is looking for a committed PE Teacher to join their team.
About the Role:
As a PE Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the secondary PE curriculum, helping pupils develop their practical skills, knowledge and understanding of physical activity. You will create well-structured lessons that cater to different abilities while maintaining high expectations for participation, behaviour and progress.
You will also assess pupil development, provide constructive feedback and work closely with colleagues to support positive outcomes across the department.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across the secondary curriculum.

Teach practical and theoretical aspects of physical education effectively.

Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of individual pupils.

Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.

Promote positive participation, teamwork and good sporting conduct.

Maintain a safe and well-organised learning environment.

Manage behaviour consistently in line with school policies.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.

Strong subject knowledge across the PE curriculum.

Good classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A genuine enthusiasm for physical education and supporting pupil development.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
