Contract Type: Temporary, Supply, Part-Time, Full-Time

Salary Scale: £130 - £180 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic Supply Teachers to work across schools in York and the surrounding areas.

About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will step into different classrooms and deliver lessons in line with the work provided by the school. You will quickly establish positive relationships with students, manage behaviour effectively, and maintain a productive learning environment while adapting to different school routines and expectations.
Core Responsibilities of the Supply Teacher:
- Deliver engaging lessons using plans and resources provided by the school
- Maintain positive behaviour and ensure students remain focused and engaged
- Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups, subjects, and classroom environments
- Support students with their learning and encourage positive participation throughout lessons
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety procedures consistently
- Provide relevant feedback to school staff regarding student engagement and lesson outcomes
As the Ideal Supply Teacher, You Should Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Recent experience teaching within a school or educational setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to teaching
- Ability to build positive relationships and engage students across a range of abilities
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and high standards of teaching and learning
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent teaching experience within an educational setting
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
