Job Title: Cover Supervisor (Primary)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident working with primary-aged children and enjoy creating a positive, focused classroom? A welcoming primary school in Sheffield is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to support pupils and keep learning on track from September.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared learning activities when the regular teacher is unavailable. You will follow lesson plans, support pupils with their work and maintain a calm, well-organised classroom throughout the school day.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an active part in their learning while gaining valuable experience within a primary school setting.

Responsibilities:

Supervise primary classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

Deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities as instructed.

Support pupils with their work and encourage positive participation.

Maintain a safe, calm and well-structured classroom environment.

Manage behaviour consistently in line with school policies.

Provide appropriate feedback to teaching staff following lessons.

Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.

Confident communication and classroom management skills.

A patient, approachable and consistent manner.

Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively.

Good organisational skills and reliability.

A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
-
Experience within a primary school or education setting is advantageous.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
