Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting experienced and motivated Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to work with fabulous schools in Sheffield. We are interested in qualified educators who can make computing topics easy to understand, encourage students to explore technology, and create lessons that develop both practical and problem-solving skills.

The Computer Studies Teacher helps learners understand computing, programming, and digital systems while building their confidence in using technology safely and effectively.

Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach Computer Studies lessons for different year groups
  • Introduce students to coding and basic programming concepts
  • Explain how computers, software, networks, and digital systems work
  • Use practical tasks to help learners develop their computing skills
  • Check student progress and provide clear feedback on their work
  • Support young people with revision and preparation for assessments and exams

Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Previous experience teaching Computer Studies, Computing, or ICT in a school
  • Good knowledge of computing, programming, and digital technology
  • Ability to explain technical topics in a clear and simple way
  • Strong communication, planning, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
