Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term
Can you help students see Mathematics as a subject they can understand, enjoy, and succeed in?
GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint confident and knowledgeable Mathematics Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield. We would like to hear from qualified educators who can explain mathematical concepts clearly, encourage logical thinking, and help learners build confidence in their abilities.
The Maths Teacher delivers structured and engaging lessons that strengthen students’ numerical skills, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of key mathematical topics.
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons in line with the school curriculum
- Explain mathematical topics clearly using simple examples and activities
- Support learners who need extra help with specific areas of the subject
- Encourage students to develop their reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Check progress through classwork, homework, and assessments
- Prepare young people for examinations and help them work towards their academic goals
Math Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics within a school or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum
- Ability to teach students across different levels of ability
- Good planning, communication, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
