Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting confident and approachable Behaviour Support staff to work in reputed schools across Sheffield. We would like to have individual who can provide clear guidance, build trust with young people, and help learners develop more positive ways to manage their behaviour at school.
The Behaviour Support role provides focused guidance to students who may struggle with behaviour, engagement, or classroom routines, helping them remain involved in their education.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Support students who find it difficult to manage behaviour during the school day
- Build positive relationships and encourage respectful communication
- Help learners understand classroom expectations and follow daily routines
- Use suitable strategies to calm difficult situations and reduce disruption
- Encourage young people to take responsibility for their choices and actions
- Work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to provide consistent support
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Understanding of positive behaviour support and classroom expectations
- Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging situations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, dependable, and able to maintain clear boundaries
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
