Job Title: Early Years Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are keen to hear from enthusiastic Early Years Teacher (EYT) to work in schools and early years settings across Sheffield. We are looking for qualified educators who can make learning fun and meaningful while supporting children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development.

The Early Years Teacher creates engaging learning experiences through a mix of structured activities and purposeful play, helping young learners develop important skills and confidence.

Early Years Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Use play, stories, creative tasks, and practical activities to support learning
  • Help children develop early reading, writing, communication, and number skills
  • Observe individual development and identify areas where extra support may be needed
  • Encourage independence, curiosity, positive behaviour, and social interaction
  • Work closely with families and support staff to promote each child’s development

Early Years Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) is desirable
  • Previous experience teaching or supporting children within an Early Years setting
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Ability to create engaging activities for different learning needs
  • Caring, organised, and confident approach to working with young children
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
