Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting patient and confident Behaviour Support staff to work with amazing schools in Doncaster. We are keen to hear from individuals who can build trust with young people, encourage positive choices, and provide clear and consistent guidance throughout the school day.

The Behaviour Support role involves working closely with learners who need extra help managing their behaviour, emotions, and involvement in classroom activities.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual guidance to students who need additional behavioural support
  • Help young people understand expectations and make positive choices
  • Use agreed strategies to manage difficult situations calmly
  • Encourage learners to return to lessons and take part in classroom activities
  • Recognise positive behaviour and improvements in attitude
  • Work with teachers and pastoral teams to provide consistent support

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
  • Understanding of basic behaviour management techniques
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Patient, reliable, and consistent approach to supporting students
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
