Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to work with vibrant schools and early years settings in Doncaster. We would like to hear from individuals who can create enjoyable learning experiences, support children’s development, and provide a safe and welcoming environment.

The EYP will have the facility to help young learners develop important social, communication, physical, and early learning skills through play and structured activities.

Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Support children with play-based and early learning activities
  • Encourage communication, sharing, creativity, and positive social skills
  • Prepare simple activities and resources suited to different stages of development
  • Observe children’s progress and share relevant information with teaching staff
  • Help young learners develop independence with everyday routines
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment

Early Years Practitioner Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting or similar
  • Relevant Early Years or childcare qualification is advantageous
  • Basic understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Caring, patient, and attentive approach to supporting children
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
