Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking to appoint confident and patient Behaviour Support to work with reputed schools in Rotherham. We would like to hear from individuals who can connect with young people, encourage positive behaviour, and provide steady support when learners face challenges during the school day.

The Behaviour Support role focuses on helping students manage their behaviour, stay involved in learning, and develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed at school.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting and respectful relationships with students who need additional guidance
  • Encourage positive choices and recognise improvements in behaviour
  • Help young people manage frustration, conflict, and difficult situations
  • Support learners in returning to classroom activities after behavioural incidents
  • Work with teaching and pastoral teams to follow agreed behaviour strategies
  • Provide clear boundaries while maintaining a calm and supportive approach

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Understanding of positive behaviour management approaches
  • Confidence dealing with challenging situations calmly and professionally
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build positive relationships
  • Patient, reliable, and consistent approach to supporting learners
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
