Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Worksop
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for confident and dependable Cover Supervisor (CS) to work with vibrant schools in Worksop. We would like to hear from individuals who enjoy working with young people and can provide clear direction while maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom.
The Cover Supervisor has the opportunity to provide classroom supervision during teacher absence, helping students follow prepared lesson plans, stay focused, and complete their assigned work.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes using lesson plans and activities prepared by teachers
- Give clear instructions and help learners understand the work provided
- Encourage students to remain focused and complete tasks within the lesson
- Maintain good behaviour by following the school’s classroom policies
- Deal calmly and appropriately with any issues that arise during lessons
- Provide teachers with useful feedback about completed work and class behaviour
Cover Supervisor Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in school or similar setting
- Confidence leading and managing groups within a classroom
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to follow instructions and established school procedures
- Calm, responsible, and flexible approach to working with different classes
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
