Salary Scale: £174.70 to £270.94 per day (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education Hull branch are currently searching for enthusiastic Maths Teachers to work across secondary schools in York and the surrounding areas. As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students' mathematical understanding, problem-solving abilities, and confidence. You will create a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to participate, challenge themselves, and make consistent academic progress.
Key Responsibilities as a Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum and relevant examination specifications.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning needs.
- Develop students' mathematical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and confidence through effective teaching.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and using assessment to inform future planning.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement within the classroom.
- Contribute to wider departmental activities, enrichment opportunities, and the overall development of students where appropriate.
Maths Teacher Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
