Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking for an opportunity to inspire pupils and help them build confidence in mathematics? A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a committed Maths Teacher to join their team.

About the Role:

As a Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping pupils develop strong mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills. You will use effective teaching strategies to meet different learning needs, assess progress and support pupils as they work towards their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.

  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual pupils and different abilities.

  • Develop pupils' mathematical knowledge, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil progress.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 mathematics.

  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and planning skills.

  • A genuine passion for helping pupils develop confidence in Maths.

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
