GSL Education are currently recruiting for a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Primary Teacher to work across primary schools in Scarborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an educator looking for a new challenge within a supportive school environment. About the Role:

As a Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. You will create a positive classroom environment, maintain high expectations, and support pupils with different abilities and learning needs to achieve their potential.

Core Responsibilities of the Primary Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the primary curriculum
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and positive learning behaviours
  • Differentiate teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
  • Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to support pupils' wider development and wellbeing

As the Ideal Primary Teacher, You Should Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • A flexible, creative, and child-centred approach to teaching
  • A genuine commitment to helping every pupil achieve their full potential

To Work with GSL Education, You Must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
  • Have recent teaching experience within an educational setting
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
