Salary Scale: £92 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for reliable, attentive, and professional Exam Invigilators to work across schools and educational settings in York.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work within education, including graduates, teaching assistants, support staff, and those with previous experience supervising young people. You will help ensure examinations are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in line with established procedures.
About the Role:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will supervise students during internal and external examinations, ensuring that exam conditions are maintained and all candidates are treated fairly. You will need to remain vigilant, follow examination regulations carefully, and respond appropriately to any issues that arise during an exam.
Core Responsibilities of the Exam Invigilator:
- Set up examination rooms and ensure all required materials are ready before each session
- Supervise candidates throughout examinations and maintain a quiet, focused environment
- Follow examination regulations and procedures accurately at all times
- Monitor students closely and respond appropriately to any concerns or incidents
- Distribute and collect examination papers and materials securely
- Report irregularities or issues promptly to the relevant examination staff
As the Ideal Exam Invigilator, You Should Have:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain vigilant for extended periods
- A calm, professional, and approachable manner
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to give clear instructions
- Ability to follow procedures accurately and maintain confidentiality
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safeguarding
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have relevant experience working with children or young people where applicable
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
