Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintain a positive attitude towards learning. You will support pupils across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour effectively and help create a calm and productive learning environment. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, graduates or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

Responsibilities:

Supervise lessons using work set by teaching staff.

Ensure students remain engaged and complete learning activities.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Create a safe, positive and well-organised learning environment.

Record attendance and provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.

Build positive relationships with students and colleagues across the school.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A calm, organised and adaptable approach.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
